Skincare can be hella expensive sometimes, but lucky for us some options are actually affordable. Whether you’re projecting you’ll most likely be broke for the next fifty years like myself, or just want to look around for something new. Here some products that I recommend that you try.
- Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water | $12.99AUD
If you haven’t heard of Bioderma before, I’m afraid you’ve been living under a rock. A craze to hit the beauty world, cleansing waters are a way to cleanse your skin and remove all forms of make-up you may have on. Unlike make-up removers with the oil layer, then the cleansing layer, this product contains no oil so it leaves your skin feeling clean and fresh without that oil slick you would normally get. The Garnier Cleansing Water is an effective make-up remover that works wonderfully for both waterproof and make-up that’s a little harder to get rid of. Just place some on a cotton pad, rest it for a few seconds and wipe your make-up away!
- Formula 10.0.6 Acne Blemish Treatment | $9.99AUD
I don’t get pimples often but when I do, they’re a real pain in the ass to treat. Due to this reason, I usually use something medically prescribed. Although this is great, I wanted to find something that wasn’t as drying to the rest of my skin. This product wasn’t as instant, but it was definitely successful and effective. The product itself says to use it a couple of times a day, and before bed. One thing not to do though, is put this on top of make-up. Trust me, it does not end well. It doesn’t work on fully blown pimples but it does help amazingly with the reduction of your break outs. If you’re in Australia, this can be found at Priceline.
- Palmer’s Cocoa Butter formula With Vitamin E | $7.49AUD – 250mL
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaas girl. Although my face can get hella oily sometimes, the skin on my body has always been dry. As a kid, my mum complained that she would have to scratch my back until I fell asleep because my dry skin so irritating. So for me, a body moisturiser is a must have. As you can imagine, I have tried my fair share but so far, none have matched up to this product. The product itself is cream coloured, and the best part of all? It smells like chocolate. Yeah, I said it, chocolate. If that isn’t enough of a reason to try it out yet, the product lives up to it’s “24 Hour Moisture” claim, and also absorbs quickly into the skin while helping to smooth stretch marks and scars.
- Neutrogena Rapid Clear 2 in 1 Wash and Mask | $13.99AUD
I have used this for around half a year now, it’s such a great product for when you’re a little acne troubled or if you’re a little on the oilier side. You can use it as a normal face wash or as a mask. I tend to use this in the shower, leaving it on my face for five minutes or so then I just wash it of and I’m good to go.
- Burt’s Bees Lip Balms | $6.99AUD
I love Burt’s Bees products, the one I have pictured is the Ultra Conditioning Lip Balm and the product itself has no fragrance and is amazingly hydrating. It replenishes your skin with Cocoa, Shea and Kokum butters to leave your skin soft and healthy. Normally I use the honey formula and that one works wonderfully as well. I have to say though, they’re so addictive to use. Not addictive in the way the soft drink flavoured lip smackers used to be (does anyone remember those?), but addictive because it feels so damn moisturising!
- The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil | $32.95AUD
I know this is a little pricier, but I think for the price, the product is definitely worth it. As you can tell by the state of this… it’s well loved. When my skin is dull and dry, or I know I’m not going to be having much sleep throughout the night, I use this serum. With this product, you get all the advantages of a serum and an oil. It is absorbed into the skin so quickly and nicely, two to three drops go along way with this.
Unfortunately for me, I still haven’t found a staple mask! If you have any affordable recommendations, I’d love to know! 🙂
That neutrogena one is my bae. The menthol feels so nice and it’s not drying *_*
