Alright let’s get right into it.
Revitanail: Keratin Strengthening Treatment
My nails recently have been peeling, and they have not liked the nail polish I was feeling last month. Without thinking, I picked this up at the supermarket, and I was pleasantly surprised! It has a creamy texture and contains almond oil, shea butter and vitamin E. Instructions tell you to gently massage it into your nails and cuticles for one minute, which I have been doing about twice a day because my nails were not having the time of their lives. Results were visible within a week for me, which is amazing. One tiff I have about this though is the smell, be weary that fragrance is added to the product. I can’t exactly put my finger on what it smells like but the smell isn’t to my liking. I also purchased the nourishing oil recently, because I’ve become interested in this brand. Definitely one to look out for!
Bite Beauty: High Pigment Lip Pencil – Bramble
Bite Beauty has recently been introduced into Sephora and on The Iconic, for you Aussies like myself. The brand stems from Canada and prides themself on using natural and organic ingredients, their products all contain reservatrol which is anti-oxident rich, fights free radicals and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines. The product contains castor seed oil, beeswax, argan oil, shea butter, and so many other great things!
The product itself isn’t exactly long lasting and I recommend you use a lip liner to accompany it. Nevertheless, the colour Bramble is a gorgeous wine colour that is incredibly build able. As mentioned before, it’s not necessarily as long lasting as some other lipsticks I’ve tried, but it generally fades out nicely. I don’t recommend this product for those of you with dry, chapped lips though because I have found that the product tends to cling to those unforgiving areas.
Maybelline New York: Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles
As many people on YouTube have raved about this product, I don’t think I’ll have to explain too much. It claims to “instantly erases the appearance of dark circles and fine lines”, which I don’t have so I can’t speak for it. As for application, it’s thin and does not settle into any dry patches you might have on your skin. As a uni student, late nights come into the job description and hence follow horrible dark circles. This product, has been a life saver covering the dark circles and not bring attention to them, like other concealers I have tried. The applicator is not very sanitary and as you may be able to see, gets dirty very easily. I mean you could clean it but being honest, who is really bothered. This is my second or third time re-purchasing it and I’m pretty sure I’m going to remain a fan of the product!
Burts Bees: Honey Lip Balm and Lip Crayon – Redwood Forest (411)
Beginning with the lip balm, this is just a great product. It smells like an amazing blend of rosemary, honey and a bit of sunflower oil, all of which are ingredients! It goes on smooth and is a great base for lipstick, especially the MAC matte lipsticks which are very well known to dry out your lips! It leaves your lips soft and feeling wonderfully moisturised, maybe not for the whole day but for quite a while longer than other lip balms I have tried.
Now for the lip crayon, it’s winter and let’s be honest. Lips aren’t always on fleek because you’re always turning on your heater, zapping the moisture out of almost every part of your body. This product is full-coverage, matte and a wonderful crayon that is infused with shea butter, kendi oil and jojoba oil. It’s a great combination of a lip balm and lipstick, wonderful for the winter weather! The product itself is creamy and is without flavour or fragrance. As a lip balm, it doesn’t do too much but as it is also a lipstick, it’s a lot more moisturising. The colour fades out gracefully after 2 hours wear, but feel free to wear a lip liner underneath to make it last longer. Redwood Forest is a beautiful muted red colour, with hints of brown and is great if you feel like you need some colour in your lips but still want it to look natural.
Estee Lauder: Sensuous Nude
Can I just say, this perfume is just… hnng. With a top note of coconut, and base note of vanilla and sandalwood, if you’re a person who (like I mentioned in my last post) loves coconut… yes. Just yes. The perfume lasts around 4-5 hours depending on what you’re doing, also it isn’t as “in your face” as other perfumes I’ve tested in the past. As you spray it on, it leaves a subtle scent on your body that as if someone were to hug you, you’d be able to smell. I’ve had plenty of compliments on this perfume and I absolutely adore the rose gold packaging of it. Next to try on the list, Bronze Goddess!
Sportsgirl: Ring Stack Set – Rose Gold
As you can tell, I’ve been really feeling the rose gold recently. These rings are beautifully dainty and are adorable. They’re not midi-rings, but they do sit nicely on your hands. There’s not much else I can say with these, great stacked or individually!
